Flamingos are birds.There are six different species of flamingos. The types are greater flamingo, lesser,Chilean , Andean, american, pinkbacked.Only 2 flamingos are given the genus phoenicopterus because the 2 have yellow eyes and a shallow beak. There are 3 Genera . The phoeniconaias, phoenicopterus, phoenicoparrus. Flamingos eat fish and crustaceans and that’s what gives them their color.

Today's animal: Darwin's Frog Interesting facts:  The  Dad Darwin's frog actually puts it's tadpoles in it's vocal sac. This prevents the Dad from croaking.  He sometimes swallows 1 or 2 tadpoles.
