ingos                         Flamingos are birds.There are six different species of flamingos. The types are greater flamingo, lesser,Chilean , Andean, american, pinkbacked.Only 2 flamingos are given the genus phoenicopterus because the 2 have yellow eyes and a shallow beak. There are 3 Genera . The phoeniconaias, phoenicopterus, phoenicoparrus. Flamingos eat fish and crustaceans and that’s what gives them their color.

                                                              FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL Today is my first day of school. I am in the 4th grade. Due to the global pandemic, coronavirus, a lot of students  are taking online lessons. Some students go school. There is a option for going to school in person. I am doing online classes.The teacher teaches students through live video calls. I still miss school in person, but I am also very happy to learn online.

  Pelicans are seabirds. They are the 7 members of the genus pelecanus and family pelecanidae. The types are brown pelican, great white, American white, Dalmatian, Australian, pink backed and spot billed. Pelicans have a throat pouch which helps them catch fish. Pelicans eat fish. To catch food , they dive down from the air into the  water to catch fish. This type of fishing is called Ariel fishing.That means from the air to the water to catch food.  

Malala Yousafsai was born on July 12, 1997. Her father was a teacher at a girls school. Malala lived in Mingora, Pakistan. Malala was named after the great warrior Malalai.From a young age, Malala loved learning and studying. Soon after, a terrorist group called the Taliban attacked Mingora. Malala and her family were muslims. But, the Taliban had different beliefs. Women were not allowed to go to school, TV was not allowed, women had to cover their faces and anyone who did not obey these laws were either killed or tortured by Talibs [ Taliban people]. Malala was really worried about one thing, not going to school. Malala secretly hid her books and pencils under her shawl and went to school. Then to stop the Taliban, she secretly wrote diary entries in the name of Gul Mukai. The Taliban found out Malala was Gul Mukai when her father accidentally revealed it to a news reporter.
